Tuesday,16 August 2011: Not Everyday Can be a PR, But That's Okay

Unfortunately, not everyday can be a PR. And as much as you and I might not like that, that's the way of the world. You might be fatigued from previous work outs, your diet may have been slightly off, or the stars might not be in alignment. Whatever the case may be, you were shooting for a PR but just didn't get it. That's okay, life goes on.

Training is hard. Life is hard. Everything can't go our way all the time and we have to learn how to deal with that. Adversity enters our life to test our resilience and ability to adapt. If we bitch and complain and make excuses for not making a PR, we haven't learned anything. We have to simply accept that things didn't go exactly as we planned today, but if we push a little harder it will next time.
