RESULTS
235/245/255/265/275/285/295
Had a little help on 295 for the first attempt. My chest dipped, but I was able to correct and finish the lift. During my second attempt, I kept my chest up by looking up and straining the neck back. The back was more locked in, but my body was fatigued from all the other max effort lifts. Didn't have the drive to finish the second attempt without help. I need to figure out a way to break through 300. I might just have to start using the approach I did with the deadlift and squat every single day--the Dave Lipson method. Instead of squatting 90% or more every day, I should probably hover around 80% 1RM until my body gets conditioned to squatting heavy every day. I think the Dynamic Effort days helped get my speed, but I should probably couple the DE days with a short metcon. The next 4 weeks I'll be programming presses, so I'll experiment with doing short metcons. I'll most likely supplement a CFE S&C WOD with the DE work and see how that goes. I'll need to focus on keeping the metcon below 15 minutes. That means the volume training will shift to another day, but I'm curious to see how the body adapts to this methodology.

Didn't have time to do the volume training before class started.
