Wednesday,3 August 2011: Experimentation

Revel in the fact that every day is an opportunity to experiment with life. Your body and mind are marvelous machines that need to be pushed in order to grow. So why let them stagnate? Go experiment!

Experiment with your workouts to see if you really are getting the maximum benefit out of them. If not, change it. Experiment with you diet. Experiment with your technique and form in your lifts and running. Experiment how you deal with relationships. Incorporate the things that work, discard the rest.

Don't be afraid to try something new. It may hurt at first, but what are the results? Are they better, worse, or unchanged? You won't know unless you experiment.

My body is still adapting to the new programming. These 2-a-days with CFE programming and CFM's Underground Strength WODs are hardcore, especially in this heat. I might be approaching the threshold of overtraining, but I need to see how endurance and the Underground Strength WODs are going to pair so I can appropriately scale the WODs. Interesting results so far since I've been left pretty tired this week. Good thing I didn't try to tackle the normal strength bias program CFM offers. I'll save that for next week.
