WOD
"DT"
5 Rounds for time
12 Deadlifts, 155#
9 Hang Power Cleans, 155#
6 Push Jerks, 155#

Post time to comments.

RESULTS
19:44--PR for both time and weight from when I did it in April 2010.
All deadlifts unbroken. The cleans took a little more out of me, so I broke those up. I tried to break them up in the fewest sets as possible leaving my last rep "fresh" so I could go immediately into the push jerks. The majority of the rounds were: 1 power clean, 3 hang power cleans, rest, 1 power clean, 2 hang cleans, rest, power clean, 2 push jerks. I used a rackonce I finished the power cleans so I wouldn't have to clean it again to do the push jerks. For the push jerks I started off split jerking and only the first round was broken into 2 sets. All other rounds consisted of 3 sets of 2 reps. The last round I push jerked, just to cycle through faster, but I almost came close to dropping the weight since I was so fatigued.

I also realized that I "shave" my legs with the bar when I deadlift. There are 2 patches above each knee that has had hair ripped out as I deadlift. I guess I should start chalking that area a little more to preven the body shave.

  1. 19:19 - 125# -- no longer defeated by DT -- he beat me last April with a DNF @ 115.
