WOD: 3 rnds + 7 Squat Snatch
Squat snatches were the hardest part of this WOD. Even though it took a lot of time, I made sure I had a good set up before initiating the lift. I really tried to focus on my technique. My 2nd and 3rd rounds were probably my best in technique. The last 7 squat snatches I was so fatigued that I just wanted to get the bar up. I could have gone with a lighter weight, but I know my weakness is the olympic lifts, especially the overhead squat and the squat snatch. I just have to remember to explode with the hips, shrug violently, and then snap the elbows. Each time I did that correctly, the weight went up easy. I just have to drill this more, which means I really need to commit to doing the oly lifting bias instead of doing it half-assed. Go hard or go home.
