WOD:
 “Forrest”
Three rounds for time of:
20 L-pull-ups
30 Toes to bar
40 Burpees
Run 800 meters

Post load and times to comments.

RESULTS:
25:53 (2 rounds)

I only had enough time to complete 2 rounds since I had to teach class at Crossfit Lorton. Steve had an emergency and since he's letting me use his gym for free in exchange for helping him coach the noon class, it was the least I could do. The thicker pull up bars that Steve has is a slight game changer requiring me to change my grip slightly. It makes toes to bar a little harder since your whole hand is used to grip the bar instead of just the meaty part or the fingers. I had to resort to two toes to bar at a time to get through the second round. I've also discovered that if I don't have my iPod with 180BPM music, it's harder for me to maintain the proper pace during my run. I really focused on my mechanics during the run: being pulled by the belly button, using my hamstrings to pull my leg up, and trying to maintain that 180BPM rhythm. Maybe when I finally get my minimalist shoes, it'll be easier for me to maintain proper running form. I wish I had time to complete the WOD, but I felt it was better to stop and start teaching. I might try the WOD again some day, or I may wait until it comes up again on the main site.
