This is a collection of my thoughts and observations that I've made throughout my CrossFitting career. With the growing popularity of CrossFit, new boxes are springing up everywhere but the quality of coaching is still lagging behind. This can be easily fixed by actively discussing various topics that will help improve the quality of our coaching. The goal is to improve your understanding of human movement so that you can better coach any athlete that walks through your doors.
Back Squat: Since I haven't done 3RMs in a while, I decided to be conservative. I ended with a load that is approximately 80% of my 1RM. I probably could have gone heavier, but that's the whole idea of strength biased training. 185/195/205/215/225
WOD: 19:24 First round was fine--tried to pace myself through the burpees. Mind was tired by the time I got to the double unders that it took me a while to get a rhythm. Second round was tough--legs and back started to fatigue in the power cleans. Really had to pace myself through the burpees. Third round was brutal--legs and back extremely fatigued. However, I was much better getting my double unders. Fourth round I hung on for dear life--cranked out the last 3 power cleans pretty fast since I just wanted to get it over with.
