This is a collection of my thoughts and observations that I've made throughout my CrossFitting career. With the growing popularity of CrossFit, new boxes are springing up everywhere but the quality of coaching is still lagging behind. This can be easily fixed by actively discussing various topics that will help improve the quality of our coaching. The goal is to improve your understanding of human movement so that you can better coach any athlete that walks through your doors.
WOD: 21:15 All thrusters were broken. I know I was expending more energy cleaning it from the ground, but I had a better pace letting the weight drop each time. Did various grips on the pull ups and found that underhand grip worked the best. Tried to break the sets up in thirds. I didn't get full range of motion on the last pull up, so I had to take a break and then re-attempt. Doing heavy back squats just prior to this didn't really help with heavy thrusters in the WOD. Still need to start trying to do heavy thrusters unbroken.
I need to work more on going overhead, so I may start scaling up some of the WODs with going overhead.
